BASIC DUTIES OF A HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATOR BY DR.ASHISH GAJBHIYE. Each and Every Hospital Administrator,Hospital Manager, Medical Administrator Must be know the Primary duties for Proper Growth and Development of an institute . Basic Duties of a Health Care Leaders are as follows 1) Making ,Implementing, Monitoring a Strategic business Plan for the Efficient functioning of a Health Care Facility. 2) Overseeing Everyday hospital activities and Authorising the Protocols for Patient admission and treatment. 3) Ensuring that All Medical Documentation and Patient reports are in order and Sharing those with the Patients and their families When Required. 4) Carrying out in inventory Maintenance, keeping the health care Facility well – equipped and ensuring there are adequate resources at all times. 5) Creating and Setting up an Organization Management System. 6) Updating Software, information Systems and Other Technologies. 7) Ensuring Proper Communication between Different Hospital Departments , Hospital governing Boards ,Vendors and others. 8 . Create Quarterly and Annual Budgets. 9) Overseeing hospital finance’s, including billing Cycles, Cash flow Management, Payroll Administration and Daily Expenses. 10) Maintaining hospital buildings , Hospital rooms ,Wards, Operation theatres, Lobbies, halls and External Promises. 11) Hiring and overseeing administrative Managers ,Staff and Providing doctors with what they need. 12) Providing training , incentives and assistance to hospital Employees. 13)Supervising hospital Support services such as Catering , Cleaning, Laundry and transport . 14) Making sure that the hospital meets the Safety requirements for sterilising Surgical Instruments. 15) Complying with and Staying updated about Laws and Regulations.
