UMOA TRUST INTERNATIONAL Launches in Dar es Salaam, Sealing Historic Partnership with Universal Peace Federation Africa

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – 5th July 2025 UMOA TRUST INTERNATIONAL, a visionary organization committed to peacebuilding, legal advocacy, environmental awareness, youth empowerment, and sustainable development, held its official launch on July 5th at QB Lounge in Mbezi Luis, Dar es Salaam.

The event was held in

collaboration with the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Africa and was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including the Guest of Honor, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Adama Doumbia , President of UPF Africa, from Ivory Coast.

Highlights of the launch included:

– A ceremonial oath of allegiance taken by regional, district, and zonal leaders of UMOA TRUST INTERNATIONAL, signaling unified commitment to the organization’s mission and leadership under its Director General and President.

– Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (UMOA) between UMOA TRUST INTERNATIONAL and UPF Africa, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership to advance peace initiatives and educational outreach across the continent.

– Official appointment and swearing-in of Ambassador Professor Benezer David Mwang’ombe as the new Secretary General of UPF Tanzania alongside other UPF leaders.

– A dynamic Peace Ambassador seminar facilitated by Dr. Adama, culminating in the appointment of new Peace Ambassadors:
1. Bishop Benezer David Mwang’ombe
2. Bishop Wilson Mtatuu Ihucha
3. Rev. Rachel Kabunda
4. Chief Muhidu Saidi Sadiki

In a historic announcement, Ambassador Professor Mwang’ombe also received an official appointment letter** from the Board of Sun Moon University and the government of South Korea , naming him Global Vice President for the Tanzania Region. This role aims to establish educational exchange programs between Tanzania and South Korea, creating pathways for Tanzanian youth to access higher learning opportunities abroad, while welcoming Korean students and lecturers to local

institutions. This occasion is not just the birth of an institution—it is the beginning of a transformative movement for Africa’s peace, education, and prosperity, remarked one of the ceremony’s speakers.
